THE BRONX INK – CONTRIBUTING WRITER

Students from Columbia Journalism School run the online news site The Bronx Ink. It was founded in the autumn of 2009 and runs from September to May. The Bronx is home to the reporters, with each assigned a different neighbourhood. In the months of August through October 2022, I reported on Soundview and Castle Hill. HELLO! MAGAZINE – ONLINE STAFF WRITER

I was promoted to an online staff writer in summer 2022, after completing a five weeks internship at HELLO! Magazine in summer 2021.

HELLO! Magazine is a weekly magazine specialising in celebrity news and human-interest stories. I came away with over 100 bylines, including one in print which was part of their Princess Diana bumper issue. I worked with the editorial, affiliates, commercial, SEO, social and video teams.

The below are some of my most popular articles, including my interview with Sadiq Khan, my piece on GLOSSYBOX and interviewing several vegan celebrities. CARROT MAGAZINE – EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Carrot Magazine is a platform run by City, University of London students. I was the editor-in-chief of the magazine from June 2021 to June 2022, managing the editorial team and members of City, University of London’s student magazine. To read my work at Carrot Magazine, view my author page.

I ensured that our articles were edited and proofread to a high standard providing our audience with content based on politics and current affairs, opinions, arts and culture and the latest news regarding the university.

My previous role was as a social media managers for the magazine creating multimedia content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and most recently TikTok.

I have also produced pieces for the magazine including opinion pieces and reviews. I have assisted in the launch of two new sections including ‘Carrot in London’ and the ‘From the Editorial Team’ series.

During my time as EIC, Carrot won two awards at the Student Publication Awards including ‘Best Newcomer Publication’ at the 2022 National Awards Ceremony. Other than SPA, Carrot had many highlights and has grown into such an incredible publication, with many projects launched. My supervision saw a rebrand, a growth in writers, new columns, powerful articles, a podcast and so much dedication behind the scenes! Swipe to see our achievements.

I was a contributing writer at The Vegan Review. The Vegan Review is a digital platform that shares plant-based and vegan news. I write regular articles for the online vegan magazine.

I specialised in profiles on vegan celebrities and activists. I also uncovered veganism in countries around the world and produce social media based stories.
